‘By the end of the programme, I lost just under 7kg. That has now reached 26kg a year later and a BMI in the normal range for my height! In the green at last. I’ve always avoided mirrors and changing rooms of any sort. I have hung up a mirror in my bedroom (shock horror!) and now that my clothes have gone down from a size 22 to a size 12, I wear skinny jeans, just because I can! The improvement in my weight led me to make other changes – I plucked up courage to get dental work done, I’ve asked people to meet for a coffee and I’ve joined a group of women singers. More importantly, my mental well-being is so much better, and I couldn’t have done it without Beth’s support and encouragement. She’s a star!’
